Amazon Changing Registered UK Address
On February 1st Amazon will be changing their registered UK branch address. To find out what it means for you and your business, please read full email from Amazon below.
"On February 1, 2018, Amazon EU Sarl is moving its registered UK branch address. We're sending this email to give you enough notice to update the Amazon billing details in your company's ordering and invoicing systems.
Please share this communication with all relevant parties in your company, and note the following:
- Fulfilment centre delivery addresses are not affected.
- Failure to make this change by February 1, 2018, will render your invoices non-compliant with VAT regulations, and will result in invoices being rejected and payments being delayed.
- Making this change to invoices before February 1, 2018 will also cause your invoices/credit notes to be rejected.
WHAT ACTION IS NEEDED FROM YOU?
If your system can hold two addresses and automatically select the old or new address based on the invoice date, please update the address now. However our new bill-to address cannot be effective before February 1, 2018.
If you are sending invoices for goods and services with an invoice date before February 1, 2018, use the existing address.
From February 1, 2018, please use the following address to be VAT compliant:
AMAZON EU SARL, UK BRANCH 1 Principal Place Worship Street London, EC2A 2FA United Kingdom VAT Number: GB 727255821
IF YOU USE ELECTRONIC INVOICES (EDI):
Please ensure that your EDI team is aware of this request and that the relevant segments (GLN, bill-to-address) will be updated:
In the exceptional case where you provide physical paper invoices or credit notes, you should send these to our service centre in Bratislava, Slovakia: Amazon EU Sarl, 1 Principal Place, Worship street, London, EC2A 2FA, UK. C/O P.O. BOX 28, Namestie SNP 35, 810 00 Bratislava, Slovakia.
